Young at heart

Your heart is the most important muscle in your body. The heart is responsible for pumping millions of gallons of blood to your entire body and will beat about 2.5 billion times in an average lifespan. Let’s stay young at heart. Let’s take care of it.

These supplements are not a treatment for individuals diagnosed with heart disease. If your healthcare provider has determined that medication is right for you, this supplement is not an appropriate substitute. The ingredients in this supplement may interfere with medications that are being taken for certain heart conditions, such as atrial fibrillation or blood clots. If you think you may have a heart problem or if you are taking a medication commonly known as a blood thinner, please talk to a healthcare provider in person.

Anybody taking the medication warfarin (brand name Coumadin) should talk to their healthcare provider before taking this supplement. The vitamin K in the supplement directly counteracts the effects of warfarin, which could lead to serious outcomes and possibly death.

There are many different supplements on the market that advertise that they support heart health. While some individual ingredients may overlap between Roman’s Heart Health supplement and other brands, not all formulations are exactly the same. All seven ingredients and their dosages in Roman’s supplement were individually selected and specifically chosen. Roman’s Heart Health supplement was not tested against or compared to any other products. Roman makes no claims about how this pack will affect your body compared to other heart health supplements.

Roman’s Heart Health supplement is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. While its individual ingredients have been clinically studied, the Heart Health supplement has not been tested in any clinical trials and there is no guarantee that taking the supplement will lead to an improvement in your heart health.

If you do suffer from heart disease, this supplement is not a substitute for treatment for your condition. You should talk to your healthcare provider about the best next steps in treatment. You may require treatment with lifestyle modification, medication, surgery, or a combination of these.

You should take four tablets and two fish oil softgels of Roman’s Heart Health supplement daily. You may take all four tablets and two softgels at once or you can take them in divided doses throughout the day. To facilitate the absorption of vitamin D and vitamin K, it is recommended that you take the supplement with food. To assess tolerability, you may want to begin by taking one to two tablets per day. Depending on the side effects you may be experiencing (if any), you can then gradually work your way up to the full dose.

It is not recommended that you take more than four tablets and two softgels of Roman’s Heart Health supplement per day. Doing so may increase your chance of experiencing side effects and may even be dangerous for your health. The Institute of Medicine publishes the Tolerable Upper Intake Levels (UL) for many nutrients. The UL indicates the “maximum daily intake unlikely to cause adverse health effects” for these nutrients. Two of the ingredients in Roman’s Heart Health supplement (magnesium and vitamin D) have published ULs. Taking more than the recommended four tablets and two softgels per day may therefore increase your chances of experiencing side effects. Additionally, this supplement should not be taken in combination with other supplements that contain magnesium or vitamin D.

Do not take Roman’s Heart Health supplement in combination with other supplements that contain magnesium, as this would exceed the upper limit of magnesium that should be consumed through supplements each day. Use caution when taking Roman’s Heart Health supplement in combination with other supplements that contain vitamin D. Doing so increases your chance of consuming more than the Tolerable Upper Intake Level for vitamin D, which could increase your risk of experiencing symptoms and could lead to serious negative health effects.

The UL for supplemental magnesium is 350 mg per day. This value refers to the maximum amount of magnesium that should be ingested daily in supplement form to avoid side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain. Roman’s Heart Health supplement contains 400 mg per day of magnesium, which is above the UL. However, Roman offers magnesium in the form of magnesium citrate, which is less likely than other formulations to cause side effects. Magnesium citrate is safe to ingest even at doses as high as 2.8 g for a limited amount of time (five day maximum), which is sometimes given as a laxative. Note that the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of magnesium is 400 mg per day for men ages 19–30 and 420 mg per day for men ages >30, which is higher than the UL. Be sure to talk to your healthcare provider about any new side effects you experience while taking Roman’s Heart Health supplement.

If you accidentally miss a dose, you can either take it when you remember or you can wait until the next day to resume the supplement. It does not matter what time of day you take the supplement. However, to avoid going over the Tolerable Upper Intake Levels for magnesium and vitamin D, you should not take more than four tablets and two softgels in a 24-hour period.

Possible side effects of Roman’s Heart Health supplement include abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, appetite suppression, bad breath, body odor, chemical burns, diarrhea, fatigue, fishy aftertaste in the mouth, fishy burps, headaches, heartburn, increased risk of bleeding, indigestion, insomnia, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, muscle damage, nausea, rash, and sweating. Having too much of some of the ingredients in a single day can lead to potentially serious health problems. If you are experiencing worrisome symptoms, stop taking the supplement immediately and speak to your healthcare provide

The individual ingredients in Roman’s Heart Health supplement are generally well tolerated. However, there are certain people who should refrain from use or should use caution due to possible interactions with medications. People with an allergy to fish should not take this supplement because it contains fish. Because some of the ingredients can increase the risk of bleeding, anybody who is undergoing surgery should stop the supplement at least a week before surgery. Anybody taking the medication warfarin (brand name Coumadin) should talk to their healthcare provider before taking this supplement. The vitamin K in the supplement directly counteracts the effects of warfarin, which could lead to serious outcomes and possibly death. Additionally, Roman’s Heart Health supplement should be used with caution by anybody taking antibiotics, anticoagulants, antiplatelet medications, bile acid sequestrants, bisphosphonates, blood pressure medications, certain cancer treatments, cholestyramine, corticosteroids, diuretics, HIV medications, insulin, medications metabolized by cytochrome P450 or by P-glycoprotein, oral contraceptive pills, orlistat, proton pump inhibitors, seizure medications, or theophylline. If you have a health condition or are taking medication and have questions about whether Roman’s Heart Health supplement is safe for you, talk with your healthcare provider before taking the supplement.

Roman’s Heart Health supplement is not vegetarian or vegan, as the fish oil softgels contain fish and gelatin and the vitamin D3 is derived from lanolin (sheep wool). If you adhere to a strict vegetarian or vegan diet, do not take Roman’s Heart Health supplement.

The best way to support heart health is to stay as healthy as possible overall. Eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, maintaining a healthy body weight, and sleeping enough each day are all ways to make sure your body is functioning at its peak. If you have heart disease, work with your healthcare provider to determine the best methods of treatment for you.

Roman’s Heart Health supplement is not a treatment for any heart disease. If your healthcare provider has determined that medication or another treatment is right for you, this supplement is not an appropriate substitute.
